Washington Elementary will celebrate Grandparents, Special Friends’ Day, and Veterans' Day on Friday, November 11, 2011. All students are encouraged to invite their grandparents and special friends to Washington School. 

Guests should arrive by 1:30 p.m. and report to the respective classrooms for a short activity. At 2:00 p.m. guests will assemble in the gym for special activities. Light refreshments will be served following the presentation. We hope you enjoy this day. We are looking forward to meeting you.

If you have family members or friends who plan to attend, please complete the attached slip (click here) and return to school by Monday, November 7, 2011.

For our Veterans' Day Recognition Assembly, we hope to have all five branches of the armed forces represented: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines and Navy.

We will display a “Wall of Honor” recognizing military members, past and present, who have a connection to Washington Elementary. If you would like to honor someone, please complete this form (click here) and return it to school by Friday, November 4. Feel free to make copies if you would like to honor more than one veteran or active duty member.
